Dear Dan and Team, Thanks for getting in touch regarding our tour of the Vatican Museums and St Peters; I was going to email you regarding the trip so it was good that you asked. My wife and I would like you to pass on our heartfelt thanks to Agnes for an outstanding, knowledgeable and enlightening tour. I have never been a tour person but this has certainly changed my perspective. Personally I could have listened to her for longer, the time just flew by - her knowledge base was brilliant. On Agnes' recommendation we visited St Peters again on our last morning to take in the sights from St Peters Cupola - breathtaking and everything she said it would be, except maybe for the noisy German tourists! We had already visited the Colosseum prior to this tour and quite honestly we should have included this venue too, as the information available at the site is very limited........so that will have to be done next time. Thanks again, if the rest of your team are as professional as our guide your business will flourish.

Sincerely, John

Thank you very much! We liked the tour very much and were extremely happy to have a small group when looking at all the large groups around the places. We come back! Best wishes

We found the picture and details of the meeting point extremely helpful. The tour guide (sorry, we can't remember her name, she told us she was from London) was excellent in every aspect which made the tour of the Vatican and St Peters really informative and very enjoyable. The audio system was of great benefit owing to the large crowds on the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour from start to finish and would highly recommend your company for tours. We would certainly use you again if going on holiday. Thanks again

Dear Vatican Tours, My family was very impressed with the two tours that we had with your tour guide Maya. We joined her for the tour round the Vatican on the Saturday and than arranged with yourself an additional tour to the Colosseum the Sunday. Our group was a mixed group in age and included both my mother and my children who are aged 15 and 11. Maya catered for the needs of all the Group and kept us enthralled with all the interesting information and facts that she knew. Maya was able to present the information in such a way that you certainly remember it and can relate to it. We all agreed that if she had not been leading us on the Vatican tour we would have missed a lot of the magnificent art work that is there. We went on the Saturday before Easter so as you can imagine it was exceptionally busy and we had to wait for over 2 hours to get into the Vatican. Maya kept us entertained in the queue and to be honest we all felt much safer with her. Once we got in she led us round in a very professional manner. The next day we visited the Colosseum and once again Maya was brilliant. The whole experience was both interesting and you felt that old Rome came to life. We would have no hesitation in recommending Vatican Tours and Maya in particular to any of our friends visiting Rome. Maya is very personable and friendly and made our trip to Rome very memorable.

Yours sincerely Monica

My family and I greatly enjoyed our tour by Ornella. She was informative, interesting and helpful in getting my mother's wheelchair in and out of the sites. We will recommend her to friends and family visiting Rome. We will have a group of about 12 of our family visiting Tuscany this summer. Do you have an office in Firenze that we could use for a tour there?

Thanks, Bob

Our tour was FANTASTIC! We missed our scheduled tour because we got lost, and your company was so incredibly accommodating! They scheduled us for the following day, even though they were completely booked for Good Friday. The tour was incredibly interesting, and our guide kept us thoroughly entertained throughout the long line into the basilica. It ended up being much more than we paid for! The 3 hour tour didn't even begin until we entered both the basilica and the Vatican. We got more than we ever expected out of this tour! It will forever be a found memory for us. Thank you so much :-).

Hello Vatican Tours We just recently visited Rome and took the Vatican City Tour and the Colesseum and Roman Forum Tour. Both were fabulous and breathtaking. The guides were extremely knowledgeableon the history and artifacts, homourous and as well helped us with suggestions on places to dine in Rome. We did have some confusion with the meeting point for the Vatican City Tour. There were several Vatican tour guides at the meeting point and our tour guide was waiting at the wrong spot (which was 10 minutes away). As well the line-up for the security at the Vatican City was unexpectedly slow. The line up outside just to get through is rather long (2 hours for us) and our tour guides couldn't jump the line up as there are no group line ups. Maybe this would be good to mention on your website that the there is only one line for security entrance in the Vatican City and this can take awhile. This is also separate to the lineup for buying your group tickets, which wasn't a problem at all (it only took 2 minutes). The Colesseum Tour wasn't a problem as there was a separate lineup for groups for security and we were able to buy our tickets at the roman forum (this only took 2 minutes). Overall, we had a great time with the tours and apart the from the long line for Vatican City security were very impressed with the organisation and knowledge of the tour guides. Clearly we would love to do it again when we return to Rome. Thanks again

We took the tour of Vatican city and of the Roman Forum and Coliseum. They were both fabulous. We picked the company and the tours from the internet so I did not know what to expect. Agnes - Vatican city was amusing, knowledgeable and fun to be with - she was a great great guide. I can only say the same exact things about Michael and his tour of the Coliseum etc. You can't do these places without a guide - it would be meaningless. These two guides were the best!

Dear Kirsten; We really enjoyed our tour with Liz. She’s great and we wanted to kidnap her to go along with us on the rest of our trip so that we could learn the most about the art and history of where we traveled! Hang on to her and give her a big raise!

Dear Vatican, We have just returned from our trip to Rome and we pre-booked the Vatican tour online before we left London having read the many good reviews. We were certainly not disappointed! Our guide, Maya, was fantastic. Her knowledge is amazing and she made the tour both interesting and lots of fun. She even made the long wait to get into the Vatican bearable! We went on the Colosseum tour the following day, again with Maya, absolutely wonderful! She is a credit to your organisation. Thanks

Hi Vatican Tours- Our tour of the Colosseum was truly the highlight of our stay in Rome. Our tour guide, Mike, was a walking encyclopedia of information. He carried a briefcase full of treasured articles, drawings and materials to supplement what we saw. And such enthusiasm!!!!

Dear Vatican tours, Maya was our guide. She was great. We had a small group (about 9 of us). Maya made efforts to include and involve all the tour members in her presentation. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and informative. This was the third time I have been through the Vatican museums and the first time with a guide. It was definitely worth it. We learned a lot and had a great time. A very worthwhile investment of time and $$. Regards

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

We have just returned from a trip to Rome where we took two Vatican tours, the first on the afternoon of 20th March to the Vatican and St. Peter's with Elisabetta. We had to wait in line for an hour but she kept our spirits up by chatting and gave us the full 3 hours once we had got in. Despite the crowds she kept us well informed and we saw all that should be seen on an overview trip. She was well-informed and answered all the questions that were thrown at her; she had a lovely personality and deserves full marks - please pass on our compliments. The next morning we did the Colosseum tour with a gentleman whose name escapes me, but I know he was originally from Chicago - maybe that will identify him! He was really excellent, and as only four of us turned up, it was truly like a personal tour. What a knowledgeable person, he made ancient Rome come alive for us - and then knew exactly which buses we needed to take to get to the other side of town. Full marks with a gold star.... I would recommend these tours to anyone who wants an in-depth introduction to Rome - the small numbers are an added bonus. Many thanks,

Dee, Dublin, Ireland

I had a fantastic time on my tour of the Vatican with Brita. She was able to answer all of my questions fully, and she knew everything about everything! The tour added so much to my experience at the Vatican, I would recommend it to anyone!

Thank you for our tour. We found it really informative and our guide Catrina was very good. She was easy to understand and went a our pace and was cheerful and helpful. We would certainly recommend you.

I just have to say what an enjoyable tour me and my boyfriend had with Michael on Saturday 24th around the Colosseum and Ancient City!! He was very funny and answered all our probing questions!! Also showed us a great trick with the Roman drinking water fountains!! The tour was very informative and enjoyable - the three hours flew by and we realised how much we would have missed out on if we had not taken this tour!! I would recommend this tour to everybody visiting Rome especially to get the most out of the sites in the Ancient City!! We would have been wondering around for hours trying to figure it all out!! Bis thanks to Michael and Vatican - job well done!! ;o)

Dear Vatican, Our clients were very impressed with the tour you organized. They mentioned that their guide (Jo) was spectacular!!! Thank you very much and the next time I have clients who wish to visit the Vatican I will contact you again. Regards

Really enjoyed the tour, guide (Ildi) was excellent. The audio system however was not up to scratch - very crackely etc. Not the guides fault but would recommend she use a hands free system in the future.

We just got back from Italy last night so we haven't had much time to respond to correspondence. But I just want to compliment your organization on the excellence of its work! We booked the tour for our visit during the last week of February. Our tour was led by Maya and Michael. Both were extremely personable, knowledgable, and professional. Both went with us through the line for tickets and used that time to educate us about the Vatican in general. They not only cared about the tour but about us. Once inside, the group was split into two smaller groups. Ours was led by Maya. She is such a delightful individual! Her knowledge about the Vatican, it's treasures and the Popes who have ruled it is vast. She has a wonderful ability to make the information not only interesting but delightful to learn! She is friendly and wonderful to be around. Maya not only conducted the tour with exemplary ability she also told us where to find the best pizza in all of Rome! And after visiting Florence and Venice--we believe it to be the best in all Italy! You are to be congratulated for hiring such top quality individuals. They should be praised for providing the best tour we had in all of our trip to Italy. Bravo. We recommend your organization to all.

Hi, The tour guide was very knowledgable about the Vatican. I had booked the trip under the impression I could avoid the general public line, as is the case with many other tours in the area. Aside from this initial situation, the tour went well. As a matter of fact, the guide extended my travel friend and I a courtesy of waiting for us five extra minutes as we had both set our watches incorrectly when we arrived in Rome from the states. I suggest making it clearer that there is NO time advantage before entering the Vatican, but that there could be tremendous time advantage once inside with your guide who knows where to go in the most expedient fashion, to thereby offer a far more satisfying look-see once inside.

Dear Vatican, My wife, son (11y) and I were part of the group led by Mia (sorry, not sure of her spelling) last Thursday around ther Vatican. Mia was excellent: fun, very knowledgable, great with the kids and, in short, a credit to your company! We also appreciated your efforts to minimise the queuing, by bringing forward the meeting time - sadly it was necessary - and informing us of this. Thank you so much. Regards,

Pete, Tansy & Will

Friday, February 22nd, 2007

Dear Vatican, My Girlfriend Charlotte and I attended one of your tours of the Vatican, on Thursday 22nd of February. Mya was our guide for the day and she made a fantastic impression right from the start. We were both highly impressed with her extensive knowledge of the art and history inside the Vatican. Our attention was held for the whole three hours and they passed in a moment. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone else and consider ourselves very lucky to have had such an inspiring personality as our guide. Thank you Mya!

David

Friday, February 22nd, 2007

We didn't really need a prompt to contact you after our tour of the Vatican as we intended getting in touch again to compliment your organisation on the efficiency of its service. The booking procedure on-line was painless, with virtually immediate acknowledgement of our reservation. As far as the actual tour was concerned, it couldn't have been better. We were very lucky in as much as our party of four had guide Agnes to ourselves rather than a possible fifteen members. What a fount of knowledge she was, from knowing the least busy kiosk from which to buy the entrance tickets to pointing out the different historic characters portrayed in Raphael's fresco The School of Athens in Julius II's study. Agnes's descriptions and explanations, technical where necessary and with a sense of humour where appropriate made the tour a very worthwhile method of visiting the Vatican Museums. Colosseum next time we are in Rome? Probably! Congratulations to your team,

The Cromwell Family

Hi. I just wanted to write and say that Maya was an exceptional tour guide for the Vatican! She is a delightful person, and truly outstanding. Her tour was a highlight of our trip to Italy. Many thanks for your efforts as well, Anna! Warm regards,

Janet

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

Dear Vatican, We both had a fantastic tour of the Vatican on Wednesday, thanks to our amazing tour guide Maya. I was particularly looking forward to seeing the Sistene Chapel and her very detailed introduction and background information about the importance of classical sculptures was really fascinating. The whole day was absolutley great and I would recommend Maya to anyone interested in a real understanding of St Peters and the Vatican museums. I have also included a few suggestions too! For those of us not interested in seeing the Pope, we could easily have done this tour on Tuesday, and would have preferred to do so if we had known about what happens at the Vatican on a Wednesday. I would expect a company such as yours to make clients aware of these issues, so we could make a more informed decision about the best day for our visit. Please don't let these suggestions detract from a truly memorable experience. Kind regards

Gill and Denise

February 10th & 11th, 2007

Good morning, I would just like to say that both guides (Katerina and Michael) were excellent especially Michael on the Colosseum tour - he was very knowledgeable and having studied ancient history myself it was enjoyable to converse with someone who knew the subject in similar detail. I would have no hesitation using your guides again and recommending them to others. regards,

Bill

Tuesday, January 30th & Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

The Colosseum and Vatican tours on 30th and 31st January 2007 were excellent. Both Michael [Colosseum] and Maya [Vatican] were very knowledgable about their subject, and conveyed passion and commitment in a fun way. They clearly enhanced our visit to Rome. We would recommend Vatican to all visitors to Rome. The whole process ,from booking to tour was completely reliable. Thanks a lot.

We really enjoyed our tour of the Vatican - we would never have found it so interesting on our own. Our quide (sorry can't remember her name but she was American) was very knowledgeable and great fun and really brought the whole thing to life. Would reccomend it to our friends.

I have toured the Vatican twice before, but my 21 year old son had never been to Rome before. I chose Vatican because of the reviews I read on line. Maja was by far the best tour guide I have yet to experience in Europe. She was personable, knowledgeable and had a sense of her audience. She clearly loves to tell a story and her historical/artistic stories are very memorable. My son thought she was wonderful. When we arrived home, he entertained his father with tales of Raphael and Michelangelo ( rather than whatever Rap group he is currently into). Maja has a gift and I am so happy she shared it with us.

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

My wife and I toured the Vatican on Saturday January 27, 2007. We were extremely fortunate to have Maya as our guide. Maya's knowledge was boundless as was her passion for her work and field. We were captivated by every subject, sentence and word. Our only regret is we did not plan enough time to take an additional tour with Maya.

I am envious of any organization that is able to provide this kind of talent to their clients.

Kind regards,

Steven and Michelle

Thursday, January 4th, 2007

Mike was very informative and engaging during the tour. It was somewhat ironic to learn that he comes from an area in the US which is about 10 miles from our home! He was punctual and kept up a steady flow of info as we meandered along in the line to get in but once in he kept up a steady pace which allowed for viewing but not feeling "rushed".

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

Our family had a great experience. Our tour guide was Maya. She made the tour both enjoyable and informative. This is very important when trying to entertain tired teenagers. Her knowledge of the Vatican's art was very impressive and she came across as very enthusiastic about her subjects and her job. Thanks again for a wonderful tour of the Vatican's museum and St. Peter's Basilica.

Sincerely,

Greg and Anne

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

Sorry I haven't written you sooner. We enjoyed the tours very much. Michael was very knowledgeable about the history. I have been praising your tour service to family and friends, and recommending them to you. If Stephanie and I are in need of your services again I will not hesitate to contact you. I felt the service was reasonable price and I liked the fact you didn't have alot of people in the tour which made it more personable. Thank you,

Donna and Stephanie

Monday, November 20th, 2006

We were delighted with our tour guide, Maya! She was very knowledgeable AND she was able to handle all the situations that developed that day. There was one "difficult" member of our group and she was a pro at keeping her in control and keeping the rest of us cool with the situation. When the President of Italy made an unannounced visit to the Pope, it resulted in St. Peter's shutting down. Rather than leave us high and dry, Maya went to lunch with us at a place she was familiar with (great pizza!) and then finished the tour of St. Peter's with us even though it was well beyond the time she had prepared for! We would hire her again in an instant!

We had an incredible time and your tour guide, Michael was wonderful. We will highly recommend your company and particularly Michael to our family and friends. Michael had a wealth of information and it made the trip just spectacular. Please pass on my thanks to Michael for a delightful 2 days of touring.

Thanks again,

Cindi

Monday, November 27th, 2006

The tour was really fantastic, and Maya (our guide was excellent). She was extremely well informed, and told the great stories with much passion and knowledge. She also spent an extra hour with us, since St Peters was closed until the afternoon. I will definitely recommend your tour service and Maya to other people who may be coming to Rome.

My wife and I did the Vatican tour last week and thoroughly enjoyed our time. It was with Mya and she was unbelievably knowlegable and friendly. Well worth it and really the only way to get the most out of Rome's art, history and culture. Thank you!

My friend Kirsten and I had a fabulous day on our Vatican tour, our tour guide Michael was amazing, I only wish that I had had a tape recorder because he was extremely knowledgeable and made our stay in Rome complete, he is a great ambassador.

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

May I we say that the Vatican tour on Thursday 16th Nov. was fantastic. Our tour guide Maya was full off knowledge and made it so interesting. My husband and myself learnt so much. Please thank her from us, brilliant.

Yours truly,

Susan and Andrew

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I was a bit surprised when Michael arrived and turned out to be American, I had expected an Italian! Having said that, his knowledge was extensive, he was more than happy to answer all our questions and always had more information up his sleeve. He obviously loves his job and is very good at it. I would highly recommend these tours, the small friendly group sizes were ideal - especially in the crowds of the Vatican! I read the feedback from other customers before I booked and wondered if they were all genuine, but Michael did really live up to his reputation. He even went nearly ½ an hour over the agreed time because of the amount of questions we all asked. Brilliant!! You have a gem here!

Karen

Tuesday, October 31st 2006

My wife and I felt we had to write to say how much we enjoyed the Vatican tour on the afternoon of 31 Oct 2006. We were extremely fortunate to be part of a very small group - ourselves and another couple, accompanied by an very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide (I think his name was Valerio). The guide's history of art background ensured we were treated to over 3 and a half hours of description, history and detailed insight to the treasures on display. Unlike many of the other wandering tourists with the 'earphones' we were carefully guided through the rooms and encouraged to focus on details which might otherwise have been missed. This was definitely an excellent tour and one that we will recommend to others. Please pass on our thanks to the guide

The visit and the tour was excellent. The tour guide was well informed and had a good sense of humour, a winning combination for my children

Many thanks

I just wanted to tell you we enjoyed your tour so much. Mia was fantastic, her knowledge of the Vatican art and museum was terrific. This was by far one of the if not the best tour we ever have taken. I will recommend this tour to anybody who is looking for a great experience.

Everyone agreed a fantastic experience. The sheer extent of the treasures is breathtaking. Michael our guide was a rich mine of information which he was eager to impart. The experience was greatly enhanced by his knowledge and teaching skills. Please thank him again. We will be back.

Monday, October 2, 2006

Dear Vatican People,

My friend Avril & I thoroughly enjoyed our Vatican Tour, to the extent that we decided to return the following morning for the Colosseum Tour. This was due in large part to our excellent guide, Michael, who was knowledgable, entertaining and gracious, and who made the (overwhelming) history come alive with his engaging delivery. The tour seemed well organised and efficiently excecuted, and we didn't mind standing in line at all since Michael used the time to give us background details to what we were about to see. Our one major disappointment, nothing to do with Vatican, was the level of noise in the Sistine Chapel, where we felt herded like cattle. Michael had briefed us beforehand on the need for silence and no photography, but all around us other tour guides were ignoring this rule by talking loudly while cameras flashed and clicked incessantly. By contrast the Basilica seemed to be a more reverent place, perhaps because of its magnitude and ability to absorb low-level noise. My husband Terence is off to Rome during the week 20-24 November, so I have strongly advised him to book a tour with Vatican and if possible to request Michael as his guide - a fan club is emerging! Many thanks for helping to make my stay in Rome so memorable.

The tour was excellent value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

With best wishes,

Alison

Monday, October 2, 2006

Our tour was excellent. I must say that the crowds were daunting. But your organization, while low-key, is superb. Your guides were informative and your website warned us what to expect in an encouraging, soothing way. As it turns out, your website was absolutely accurate. I am so glad that we worked with you all because we got so much more out of the tour than we could have ever achieved on our own.

So, thank you, very much.

Curt

Thursday, September 28, 2006

I would like to thank you for an excellent tour on September 28 of the Vatican during our stay in Rome. Special thanks to our guide who gave us a most interesting history of everything related to the Vatican. We will recommend your agency to our friends.

Best Regards,

We very much enjoyed our tour with Vatican guides, especially with Maya at the Colloseum. Her English was very good and her knowledge of the history of the area was great. Our guide at the Vatican was very knowledgeable about the art and sculptures. They were both very good and we are glad we chose Vatican for our tours.

Bob and Carol

Thursday, September 28, 2006

Hello, My husband and I took the Colosseum tour with your company on 9/29. Our tour guide was Maya, and she was FABULOUS!! She really made the tour rewarding. She knows a lot of information, speaks quickly and gets lots of info packed into a small time. I think that native-English speakers are really a big plus when giving a tour to English-speaking groups. The non-native speakers take longer to get the right words out, and end up speaking much more slowly with less information. The other item I did want to mention is not so positive. We were very upset that we had to pay the entrace fee. We did not realize it wasn't included in the tour price. Your website does not make this clear, it is printed in small tiny print so none of us noticed it. All the other folks in our group were saying the same thing, nobody expected to pay the entrance fee on top of the already paid tour price. I think that you need to make this much clearer on your website, and really make it stand out by putting right on top and in bigger, bolder font. Thank you.

Regards,

Sheryl

Tuesday, September 26, 2006

I brought my father to Italy as an 82nd birthday present. We did a great deal of Rome, Florence and Venice on our own but knew we also needed to enlist a tour guide to get the history and story behind what we were seeing. Both of us were thrilled with the ease of making the reservations and the knowledge of the guides. They were personable and gave us a wonderful overview. I would not hesitate to use you again or recommend you to someone else.

Thank you.

Terri

Monday, September 25, 2006

Vatican Tours provided us an exceptional tour of both the Vatican City and the Colosseum area. Our guide Micheal was extremely knowledgeable and humorous. You could tell he really is passionate about what he does. Without his expertise we would not have taken away the history and significance of both places that we visited. My only advice would be to revise the meeting place for the Vatican tour. The restaurant is too obscure and small and the food was not that great.

Linda

Monday, September 25, 2006

I'd like to report that the tour we attended proved that your advertising is completely truthful. Our guide, Michael (?) was indeed, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the experience. So, thank you for enriching our travel experience.

Richard

Hi Just a quick email to say that the tour around the Vatican with yourselves which me and my partner took was first class. It was a very enjoyable experience. If you could please pass on our sincere thanks to Micheal who showed our group around. He was very knowledgable and also made sure that no members of the group had got lost. A hard task considering the Vatican museums were packed. Once again thank you Micheal for a great tour.

Regards,

Martin

Hello and thank you for soliciting for feedback, I always like to have the opportunity to provide my comments. We were very pleased with our interaction with Vatican Tours and would definately use your company on future trips to Italy as well as feel very confident in recommending you to our friends. Additionally we were very pleased with and impressed by Valerio, not only for his knowledge but also his sense of humor and his capacity to talk about living in Rome. He was very good at keeping things on track, answering questions (regardless of how stupid some of them were) and guiding us through the maze of the Vatican Museum and the crowds. I found that I was so intent on listening to him I literally did not notice the other groups around us.

Thanks again for the experience.

Randy

I keep forgetting to let you know how much we enjoyed the tours. Michael was our tour guide for both and he was awesome! In fact, I have referred several others to you all/Michael for their upcoming trips to Italy.

I spoke to my clients and they said the tour was wonderful!

We were very pleased. Both areas are so vast it would have been impossible for us to enjoy them (with the kids) without the guides knowledge and discipline of the tour.

Wednesday, September 13, 2006

Thank you for your email. Our guide, (I think her name was Maya), was excellent. She was extremely informative and attentive to the needs and wants of the small group. I only booked the tour about 4 days before going to Rome and everything worked very smoothly. I know that my mother and I got much more from our tour than we would have done had we gone on our own without a guide. Overall the tour was very well organised and very good value for money.

Thank you.

Simon

Our tour guide, Michael (I don't remember his last name) was excellent! The tour was very educational and we truly appreciated the expertise of our guide.

Thank you,

We had a great tour, Katerina was awesome! She was there early, got us in right away, was very knowledgeable - so glad we booked with you and had her as our guide! Thanks again!

Tuesday, September 5, 2006

Just a quick line to say thank you for arranging our tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum on 5th and 6th of September. Our guides, Katrina and Michael (we think that's the right name) were both absolutely brilliant and both brought their respective tours alive with the knowledge they had and their communication skills. I would have no hesitation at using you again or recommending you to friends.

Well done and thank you once again.

Helen

Hi Anna,

Our trip was wonderful!!!!
Maya, our guide for both the Vatican & the Colosseum, was a joy! So much fun and FULL of knowledge! She had plenty of energy for our daughters and filled with concern and compassion for our parents! A GREAT match!!

Marco, our driver was a pleasure - throughout the trip. He was always on time, knew short cuts and lots of local information as we drove to meet our guides.

Anna - I am so pleased to have stumbled across your services on line and will be happy to spread your high praises to anyone traveling to Rome!
Thanks for everything!

Hello,

I had been meaning to drop you a quick note about our trip to the Vatican. We had an awesome experience using Vatican Reservations. Our tour guide was absolutely spectacular. Talk about a walking encyclopedia! Our guide, Michael was amazing. I don't remember his last name, but I do remember that he was from Indiana. We had our three grown children with us and to be honest with you they were kind of dreading the fact that I set up the tour. They couldn't imagine why we needed 3 hours with a guide. ALL of them were engaged within 15 minutes of meeting Michael and couldn't get enough of his stories etc. Once Michael realized that we had a history major in the group, things really got interesting. We would highly recommend Michael and Vatican Reservations to anyone booking a tour of the Vatican. Prior to our trip, I emailed 3 different companies inquiring about tours. Vatican was the only one who responded and they really delivered. Their information was accurate, reminders timely and the service ...excellent.

Regards,

Jan

For the two weeks we were in Italy, the Vatican City tour is the only tour we booked...and we are very pleased that we did. What a splendid and informed guide Michael is! His education, background, and knowledge of the arts gave us an extraordinary experience at the Vatican that we never could have captured on our own. He was punctual, informative, courteous, intelligent, responsive, with a tremendous wealth of knowledge.

What a jewel you have in Michael!

We had a great tour of the Vatican. Our group was very impressed by Valerio's knowledge of the historical artifacts in the Vatican and his ability to answer every question we thought up. The tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome.

I would just like to say how impressed we were with the tour, in particular with Eleonora our guide. We were so impressed we decided to do the Colosseum tour later in the day! Eleonora was very knowledgeabel, planned the tour very well (particularly at the Vatican), set the right pace and made it interesting and come alive. She was very personable too - it was like having a friend show you around. The group size was great for us (4 people) as it made getting around the places easier as well as being easier to see and hear but I don't suppose that is your normal group size. All in all, we were very impressed and would definitely recommend Vatican (Eleonora in particular) to any friends who want to go to Rome in the future.

Best regards,

Rob

We had our tour of the Vatican Museum with Valario, one of your local guides. He was EXCELLENT. Very knowledgeable, approachable, and relaxed. He was comfortable with the group (only 6 of us, another bonus) and truly knew the material. We feel that our experience was enriched by your choice of guides. Our daughter is going there (Rome) in April, and I will definitely pass on your company name to her.

Thanks for helping us have a great time. Feel free to post the comments-good companies should get the recognition that they deserve. You obviously check out your representatives very carefully.

Thanks again,

Steve

Our tour was very and good and very informative. I believe her name was Elizabeth but don't hold me to that. She was great, very knowledgeable and sweet.

I found the tour very informative and the guide was excellent, especially taking into account that I had my 9 year-old son with me.

Yes I did enjoy my tour to the Vatican very much. The tour guide did a great job. I forget his full name - Valerio? In fact I had wanted to give him tip but had no cash on hand, is there a way I could send a tip-maybe via a charge card-for you to pass on to him?

Thank you,

Mary

Hi Anna,

We got back back from Rome yesterday and had booked a guided tour with yourselves in the Vatican on 22nd Feb 2006.

We wanted to say how excellent this tour was and how wonderful and knowledgeable Elizabeta ( We think that was her name!) our tour guide was! This tour was outstanding and really helped to make the trip to Rome unforgettable. The Vatican was amazing and was made a million times better due to the expert commentary given to us by our guide. We will never forget this trip mainly due to what we learnt from the tour.

We can not express how memorable this tour was and would not have enjoyed the Vatican half as much if we had been on our own. Please pass on our thanks and gratitude to Elizabeta and tell her how wonderful she made our trip!!!

Thanks again!!!

This was our first visit to Rome, and we both found the city, beautiful, interesting, and educational, however we made the great mistake of not affording ourselves the opportunity of time to enjoy all the splendours the city has at its disposal. We knew when we booked our short break, that there would not be sufficient enough time to take in everything we wanted to do, so we prioritised and not surprisingly the Vatican tour was at the top of our agenda. Although not of the Catholic Religion ourselves, culturally the Vatican is a 'Must-do', as in these days of political and religious turmoil, respect and understanding of each others faiths, is imperative to our harmonious co-existing. To visit the building which epitomises another religion and culture, was a moving experience, one which we will long treasure.  The 'Pre-booking' facility helped us to structure the remainder of our time to ensure we were also able to visit our other priorities of The Spanish Steps, The Coliseum, The Trevi Fountain, and of course The Pantheon.

One thing that surprised us both, was the walk involved from St. Peter's square round to the entrance of the Vatican Museum, as we had no perception for the distance involved, and we were almost late for the start of the tour. Perhaps it would be appropriate to alert subsequent visitors to the time required to journey from one to the other. On reflection, our observances of the three and four hour waiting boards while passing the waiting crowds, and the heat they would that afternoon endure, helped us to realise we had clearly made the right choice, and thank you for that opportunity.

Since our return home, I have spoken to several colleges who have a similar desire to visit the Vatican, and I have recounted our experience to them all (Several times), so they are aware of your facilities, and I'm sure they will also make use of them in the future.

Once again, many thanks, you have a beautiful city of which I'm sure you are very proud.

Best Regards,

Jack

We were very pleased to join your tour and we especially liked the audio setup which made it easy to hear everything that was said.  I wish more tours did that.  My mother in law said that our Vatican day was the most enjoyable day of her holiday, so thank you for making that possible.  My only disappointment was later when we were on our own time, when I found out that the Etruscan gallery was closed on the day we were there. Can't have everything can we?  I cannot fault your service at any stage of the process, even though I often got left behind while I looked a bit closer at something or took a picture.  That's when the audio feed came in handy!  There is just so much to see.  I could have spent far longer looking around.  Maybe on another visit I will have more time.  We would certainly book with you again.
